Blurry images?

Want to understand why your images or graphics are blurry?

⭐️ Resolution = how many tiny pixels make up an image or graphic.

⭐️ A pixel is composed of small squares of colour information.

⭐️ It's measured in dots per square inch (dpi)

⭐️ And the more dots, the more detail!

⭐️ Screen resolution (images on your website) only needs to be 72dpi.

⭐️ If you have files which have a higher dpi on your website it can slow your site down.

⭐️ Images for printing needs to be 300dpi to achieve a higher print quality.

⭐️ Have you ever noticed when you enlarge a photo it becomes pixelated? As the size of an image increases, so do the pixels which blurs the details of the image.

⭐️ It’s better to start with the largest image possible then reduce the size of the image to retain good quality.
